LEARN ABOUT THE MANY SAFE,
NATURAL, LOW-COST,
FAST-ACTING, EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS
THAT I USE FOR A REDUCTION OF AND IN SOME SITUATIONS, BETTER RELIEF OF:
disabling severe chronic pain
in my Cervical and Lumbar Spines and Shoulder,
anxiety, depression,
insomnia, spinal cord pain, muscle pain,
arthritis pain, a rotator cuff tear, bursitis,
brachial neuritis
& neuropathic pain such as sciatica!*
Like all who walk in these shoes,
I was alive without living
thanks to zero quality of life
from all of these chronic conditions** AND the
numerous side effects of prescription drugs commonly given for these deeply painful diagnoses.
Thanks to God, His herbs, and
music meditation,
I got Back 2 Good as naturally as I could by going herbal daily beginning in early 2012.
Doing so allowed me to eliminate 3 of my prescription drugs entirely and vastly reduce usage of the other 7!
What a health victory,
physically and spiritually!
Thanks to reading a Tyndale Life Application Study Bible (NLT) in 2015, I got Back 2 God to heal spiritually in a way that I had never been prior, because you can't know what you don't know; and until I finally knew Almighty God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit personally thanks to Dr. Charles Stanley (In Touch Ministries) and then reading the whole Bible,
I didn't realize that God had let me become physically disabled because I was already spiritually disabled.
If you are alive without living thanks to
any or all of these physically and/or spiritually disabling health conditions
& their mood and mind-altering Rx's,
I created Spinal Trap so that
YOU TOO CAN GET Back 2 Good!
Don't have a lot of money or
health insurance?
All the more reason to learn about the MANY COMMON LOW COST*
herbs, vitamins, and supplements!

I have to say, this product is excellent! I've had one for many years now and it does the job when this type of self-help healing modality is what you seek.
I own their large one, 14" W x 27" L; it's perfect for laying under your spine and getting moist heat coverage from top to bottom!
However, it heats up to 165 degrees; so if you only have on a thin T-shirt, you may find that you have to lay a hand towel on top of it so that you don't get burned because to put it in perspective how hot that is, 165 degrees is the internal cooking temperature for chicken to ensure that you've killed any salmonella; the pathogen which causes foodborne illness in undercooked poultry; (and other foods too) so that's very hot!
Sometimes when my knees pain me during rainy/cold seasonal weather changes, I will put it across them and it immediately soothes and comforts that pain.*
When I have really bad menstrual cramps, I put it across my lower abdomen and again, it is an instant soother!
The long cord design is smart since if you are lying in bed you may not have a super close outlet and if you're like me, you don't want to stretch a cord and/or create a trip hazard.
My only complaint is that they designed its "ON" button to be held in your hand and pressed down by your hand for the duration of it use.
Meaning that, if you let go of the button, the pad shuts off. I get that they did it as a safety precaution so that no one gets burned by falling asleep on it and in turn, they don't get sued.
However, my nerve damage is severe enough that I can't grasp anything without pain; so I find this aspect of its design lacking since there are tens of millions of people with severe arthritis that affects their fingers painfully as well as others like me with a hard time grasping due to severe spinal cord and other nerve damage.
Thus, I hope that at some point, they will be more accommodating to this large segment of the population and change the switch to let people choose a low, medium or high heat mode, and/or add a timer and/or auto shut off.
Personally, I have been burned (not in any serious way, just from it getting too hot through my clothes; hence the advice to put a towel on it...) due to its high temp.
Human skin does not need, nor can bear 165 degrees; thus, I don't see why they don't simply lower the high temp to around a hot tub/sauna/water bed temp of 100-110 degrees.
Until such time, I simply use a strong piece of tape to secure the button in its on position.
***You should not do this if you are going to fall asleep because it could be dangerous and doing so is done at your own risk.
The only other negative I can say about it is because it is so powerful, when I use it a lot, it is reflected in my electric bill.
I gave mine to my mom and bought another and she too had noticeably higher electric bills with daily use. So, you've been forewarned!
Now if they'd lower the temp, that would also lower its users electric bills by default...If you'd like to investigate/buy one of these terrific moist heating pads, click the manufacturer's link here: http://www.thermophore.com/
*I also discovered this year that taking no less than 400mg of Magnesium Malate will rid me of severe knee pain in 1 hour or less! For more info on what the best type of magnesium is for chronic pain, please see my Magnesium MALATE page:
Moist Heat
vs.
Dry Heat
vs.
Ice
In over 10 years of chronic pain, dozens and dozens of rounds of physical therapy in different cities/states and countless conversations with doctors of every specialty related to spinal health, I can tell you that I've heard much advice on the topic of moist heat, dry heat, and ice.
"Only use ice the first 24 hours after an injury or muscle sprain, then use heat thereafter."
"Alternate ice and heat every 15 minutes for an hour, 3 days a week."
"Once an injury is healed and you re-injure or flare up that area, ice isn't going to help anything, just use heat."
"Always use ice..."
"Only use moist heat for muscle strain and pain."
As with any opinion and topic, there are multiple view points from medical professionals which makes it confusing and frustrating.
I learned the best
thing to do is to
try everything and
let my body tell me,
what works for it!
It's really that simple!
If you put ice on and you feel better, use ice. If moist heat works best, use that, etc...
I have to warn you though, another thing that I've learned is that what worked well for me in prior pain years, don't always continue to as my body ages and changes and by default, so does the damage.
I used to freeze my neck pain with an ice pack, daily, for years. It was the only natural relief that I could get on my own without having to pay a professional to do acupuncture or give me physical or massage therapy. (See box to the right for more on this topic.)
Then I went herbal in January 2012 and had less severe pain regularly, thus, less frequent use of ice packs.
But when I did still get inevitable, debilitating, severe flare ups, ice no longer felt good; it actually hurt. Huh? Yep. Ditto the reverse with moist heat. Things that used to feel better after the moist heating pad was applied, would now flare up even more painfully, from the heat.
I don't have any idea why other than to speculate that normal aging changes and/or the progressively degrading nature of my spinal disease processes, have modified my body's formerly positive response.
Perhaps what use to just freeze and give me temporary relief, now perhaps goes into a tight spasm, causing me more pain?
Or nerves already inflamed get further inflamed by the heat of the pad.
I don't know.
I do know though that pain is personal, subjective and unpredictable; and what works for one doesn't work for all.
After a decade of this, I've also learned that what works for one, for a while, doesn't always work forever! It's why I offer so many different potential self-help healing pages on Spinal Trap, because I never stop seeking relief.
Which is why every chronic pain person really needs to get motivated and educated to try everything reasonable until they find their perfect pain reduction/elimination recipe; and as much, try new things when old ones, start to fail.
So many times, we listen to other people when we should listen to our own body.
NO ONE knows our bodies better than it does.
